COMMUNITY GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE

Any member of the community who has grievance with CASAHP staff or with a volunteer regarding the actions or operation of CASAHP should specify their grievance in writing and provide it to the Executive Director. The grievance procedure addresses complaints regarding negligence or misconduct related to staff or volunteer duties under TFC Section 107.002. Following the Executive Director’s receipt of the grievance, the Director will schedule a meeting with the grievant.  Following this meeting, if the individual is not satisfied with the Director’s  handling of the matter or if the grievance is against the Executive Director, the individual may make a written grievance to the President of CASAHP’s  Board of Directors.  The Board President will then place the grievance on the agenda of the next available meeting of the Board.  Community members can reach out by phone to 806.669.7638 or the program’s email address. Board President and staff information is listed on the website.

  1. Individual grievances/complaints are requested to be made in writing (as applicable under the aforementioned policies) to either CASAHP’s Executive Director or to the President of CASAHP’s Board of Directors.
  2. CASAHP’s Executive Director and/or the President of the Board will consult with the Board of Directors in regard to the grievance and the Board will decide what type of investigation, if any, should be done.
  3. It will be the responsibility of CASAHP’s Board of Directors to make decisions regarding the grievance.  These decisions may be based on findings of the investigation.
  4. Grievances will be answered by written response to the complainant and a copy of the  will be maintained on file.
